The Florida Gators are stacked again on both sides of the ball, and Urban Meyer seems to just now be hitting his coaching stride. So it may very well be a long couple of years for, not only the SEC but, the entire field of football powerhouses.

the field Thursday night in Miami, only one looked like he belonged there.  Tim Tebow and his Florida Gators looked like a championship caliber team even when their high octane offense posted their lowest first half total of the season wtih a measly seven points.  The Gators never panicked and put the ball in the hands of their leader, Tebow, who executed their game plan and seemed to will his team to victory.  While the 2007 Heisman winner stepped up and looked like the leader of the Gators, the 2008 Heisman winner faded to the back and looked afraid to have the ball in his hands.  Sam Bradford finally looked like a sophomore and didn't seem to want the ball in his hand down the stretch.  While statistically Bradford's night may be up to par, his play seemed to lack the shine and polish displayed in Oklahoma's stretch run.  Tonight was one of the first times I've seen Bradford lock onto receivers from the snap and lead the defense with his eyes.  His biggest mistake of the night was the one that seemed to seal the deal as it gave the Gators the ball back with the lead and nine plus minutes of clock remaining.  While many can blame Iglesias for not making the catch and therefore allowing the interception, Bradford's throw was one that never should've happened.  Take the sack and move on to the next play.  The throw came off his back leg, high and down the middle of the field, and into double coverage.  Game, Set, Match, try again next year OU.  And yet Bradford seemed amazed that the ball got picked off because in all honesty he probably does complete that pass against the Baylors, Colorados, and dare i say Texas Techs of the Big 12 world.  However, any top echelon team including those dreaded Longhorns would at the very least broke that pass up.  Bradford's championship game got summed up on fourth down with two and a half minutes remaining when he sat in the pocket patting the ball and finally short-armed a lob throw to his short hook receiver that was deservedly broken up.

The last image I had in my mind when I went to bed last night was Sam Bradford’s smug face placating my television screen. His careless and UN-Interested demeanor just added to my frustration over Oklahoma’s 61-41 victory Saturday night.

Shonn Greene for the Heisman!  Is anyone with me?  Ok, I won't get that extreme, because I, along with other knowledgable college football fans, know that Sam Bradford should run away with the award.  Bradford's TD/Int Ratio has him as the front-runner for the Heisman, not to mention the fact that he's on a championship contending team.  It seems like that is the only thing voters are going to be caring to look for this year.  As I believe that Bradford should win, I believe that he is the only player who should be ahead of Shonn Greene.

ked Tide are scheduled to play in the S.E.C Conference championship game on December 6th verses the Florida Gators, pending victory, a shot at the National Championship.
